She'd likely be re-evaluating the BusinessWeek story she posted on here today.
I listened to the interview that "Big Eddie" (Ed Schultz
http://www.bigeddieradio.com/ ) did with DNC Chair Dean today.. (about 3 hours ago)
First of all.. I'm sorry if the discussion of the interview is already on here-- (I'm sure it is) - but I haven't had a chance to scan the posts here yet..
In any event.. Eddie WHALED on Howard Dean and I'm sure Howard was pretty surprised. :o It was like Eddie was releasing a ton of bottled up frustration; hitting Dean with every question that he and his listeners have talked about since Dean took the job 3 months ago.
Howard Dean did an incredible job responding to every single question completely and thoroughly. (BTW.. if anyone has questions on the reasons Dean has kept a low profile so far, I hope they caught the show! Some pretty exciting stuff coming. :) )
Dean said that when BusinessWeek wrote their piece on how much money the RNC vs. the DNC had raised in the first quarter and how much each currently have in the bank; Business Week DID NOT contact Howard Dean or anyone at the DNC Headquarters for confirmation first.
I don't know a lot about Businessweek and if they have a RW agenda? I have no idea.. But Dean had a lot to say about Lee Walczak (who wrote the article) and "HE" certainly does. In fact, the piece was written for the sake of "GOP Gossip" and was not based on facts per Dean.
Howard Dean covered a LOT in a short amount of time and it was great to hear him clear up concerns that have been aired about him.
I'm glad I don't read BusinessWeek after listening to what an ass Lee Walczak is..
The DNC is bringing in over a million dollars a month right now, has twice as much money in the bank at this same timeframe two years ago, and Dean is only NOW getting ready to blast the GOP coffer out of the water! When you look at all he's done in the past 3 months, it's pretty incredible.
I was never a "Deanie" throughout the 2004 elections. But I sure respected his grassroots campaign and fundraising abilities. It's evident listening to him today he hasn't lost his touch at all. I think we've just been impatient to hear from him. That, and we read comments from publications that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground..
Like others here, I've also wondered what he's been up to during his 90 days as DNC Chair.
Gotta hand it to Big Eddie for asking some tough questions today. And kudos to Howard Dean for basically telling BusinessWeek where they can stick their phony story.
Only time will tell.. But I have a feeling we don't have a damn thing to worry about Dean in that position.. ;)
