http://www.confewderate.orgWASHINGTON, June 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Two prominent Watergate figures, Pat Buchanan and Chuck Colson, have characterized Deep Throat informant W. Mark Felt as a turncoat. The two have also been identified as key players in an Arlington National Cemetery scandal involving an annual ceremony celebrating the birthday of Confederate President Jefferson Davis.
The scandal involves a secret political slush fund of $500,000 that was using the restoration of the Confederate Monument at Arlington National Cemetery as a cover for a dirty tricks operation, according to John Edward Hurley, president of the Washington-based Confederate Memorial Association.
Hurley said that he was also suspicious of another $500,000 that Philip Morris had donated to the American Defense Institute. An attorney and board member of the American Defense Institute has served as legal counsel in litigation against the Confederate Memorial Association that has spanned the last 17 years and caused the closing of the century-old Confederate Memorial Hall museum, located just four blocks from the Washington Post building . The ADI has been marshalling voter turn-out for military personnel.
