"disassemble" Fresh Dubya at DubyaSpeak .com!!!
(I love this web site, they transcribe every stammer.)

"In terms of, umm -- you know, the -- the detainees, we've had thousands of people detained. We've investigated every single complaint against the detainees. It seemed like to me they based some of their decisions on, on the word of, uhh -- and the allegations -- by people who were held in detention, people who hate America, people that had been trained in some instances to disassemble -- that means not tell the truth. And so it was an absurd report. It just is. And, uhh, you know -- yes, sir.
-- The word Dubya is looking for here (and not finding) is "dissemble". That doesn't stop Dubya from acting like he's giving the media pool a vocabulary lesson, though. Answering question about criticism made by Amnesty International regarding the treatment of detainees at Guantanamo Bay, White House, May 31, 2005

2. Dubya's mis-speechifying
I think this particular gaffe is less an example of dubya's less-than-stellar vocabularizifying, and is instead evidence of him not hearing the little voice in his ear properly.

Think about it. If I'm too stupid to know the word "dissemble", and someone feeding me the answers to press questions via the lump under my jacket, I might hear it as a more common word which I DO know - a word like "disassemble".

You can almost hear the voice in his ear shouting "No you dumbass! DISSEMBLE - it means not tell the truth!"

4. Guess what the Google "Word of the Day" was the day previous...
Yep, you guessed it: "dissemble". Someone obviously was trying to show off their newfound increased word power.

Actually, it was Dictionary.com, but Google's new personalized page thingy puts it right on the front page.

7. Well there's the problem, it's a "transitive verb"
The man can barely speak in complete, simple sentences, but he goes and tries to "Jump the Shark" by using a fancy shamansy "transitive verb." (that last part said with a Texas Accent).

8. That's too damned funny.
You think the Propagandist's PC has Dictionary.com as the homepage? Trying to pick up new words each day?

Or, maybe ScottyBoy fed him that word and it got garbled in transmission.
