with their souped up spies (hello, Massad) and a proclivity to jump at the first provocation. Plus, Iran, Turkey, as well as Kurds and Shiites kept Saddam in check.

11. Nader is really good

at dealing with those callers. He points out where their argument is flawed in a matter-of-fact tone, without any put-downs or annoyance. He's a genius at this kind of spontaneous debate. Also he does not bludgeon people with too much information--just enough. I like when he told the woman who said she was 100% behind the Prez--"Ma'am I wouldn't be 100% behind any politician."

In general Nader did a great job, I thought. Pointed out how excess military spending is killing us, how even respected military leaders and consultants believe that invasion of Iraq was ill-advised. He mentioned the Conyers website more than once. He was excellent in discussing the grounds for impeachment in terms that anyone might understand. He wasn't too strident. Nader is one of the best political speakers around. I still don't forgive him for not pulling out of the 2000 race but in the end, maybe it is better that we got to see how truly dysfunctional our election system is because of that. The * regime was a high price to pay for that insight, but it is all part of coming to terms with the woeful state of our democracy.

I wanted Dean or Clark.but shit happens and I stuck with my party.....alll in all I find Nader very smart well spoken man.....one thing for sure.he does know his facts and maybe..just maybe he could speak up for the Democrats....I know he wants to be President someday and our own voters liked his ideas.more than Gores or Kerrys.......what Nader did is divide our party.....why?......because our ideas.agenda...are about the same as his.........
