Anyone else like Dean AND Hillary?
I'm getting that a lot of Dean folk aren't too fond of Hillary. I admit that she may not be the perfect candidate "ideologically" but damn with her name recognition AND downright likability, I think she's got to be considered as a top candidate for 2008.

Maybe I'm all washed up but I think the Doc would would push for whomever he felt could win the race. He despises GOPukes and would gladly line up behind ANYONE that had a chance to defeat them.

Anyway, I'm as strong a Dean supporter as you will find anywhere and I think Hillary will make an excellent candidate.

1. Likability?
Obviously, you don't live in a red (hope to turn it blue) state.

Sorry... didn't mean to hijack your thread, but that comment made me arch a brow.

5. LOL! I'd guess so - with that comparison!
:7

Seriously, I'm one state over (TN) and I don't even know Dems who are too keen on her. I think that a lot of people are more offended that she's been annointed as our nominee without one vote being taken than they are at her - but you know what I mean.

14. I disagree...
Likability is one of her strongest points.

Maybe you should take another look.

8. Hillary is our best chance.
I never really liked Dean, but Hillary I like. I really think she's our best chance at the White House and I think she has the potential to get crossover support. Even the Republicans seem to be afraid she'll run, so that encourages me even more.

16. If you want a likable candidate
Nader is not your guy. I don't think his own mother really liked him. Hillary, on the other hand, is likable and electable!

15. I'm a strong Dean supporter too...
but I'm realistic enough to know that Hillary might run. It's not a given, however, but a strong possibility.

First, Hillary has to win her Senate seat in 2006 and that will put her in a stronger position to run in 2008. If she doesn't win her seat again, she'll be in a much weaker position to be a candidate.

The polls show her strong in NY and unless something catastrophic happens she will win.

19. I've always admired Hillary Clinton.
Her IWR vote bothered me though.

This speculation about her running for president in 2008 is a little silly. It's only 2005. The speculation is being pushed by the media.

20. I don't have any problem with Hillary per se, but I hate presidential
dynasties. They're so banana republic. Can't we find a candidate not related to any former presidents?
