Here is my note to DNC with their fundraising letter
(I taped bright orange stickers over the donation card--leaving my name and address showing--and wrote the following)

"It's not just social security, not just the courts, not just Ohio. Get the dems to say "Downing Street Memo/Minutes" and support John Conyers inquiry. It's time to say IMPEACH! and when they start supporting us then we'll start supporting them."

I enclosed a copy of the Downing Street Memo/Minutes.
--no check enclosed.

I also sent something similar to "friends of hillary".

Am I being too harsh? I haven't sent them money since October of last year. I'm remembering the expression "money talks" and I guess I'm trying to get them to listen.

1. I think you've got the lesson backwards. Yes, 'Money talks'. Therefore
what does 'no money' do?

3. hopefully it makes them listen when you're holding a check
in your hand but not handing it over like i did last year.

last year it was unconditional love.

this year i have major conditions if i am going to give them financial support so early in the game.

6. Well, the fact is, they don't see a check in your hand.
The volunteer or staffer opening the mail at the DNC just sees an empty envelope. It probably just gets thrown away.

No doubt there is some other organization or cause you can donate your money too... it's all good.

8. not true.
"Federal Election Commission filings show the RNC raised $32.3 million in the first quarter of 2005 to the DNC's $14.1 million. The GOP led the Dems in new donors by more than 3-to-1. Republicans are sitting on bank cash of $26.2 million; Democrats, $7.2 million."

they see their numbers suck.
they see that the dems are disappointed and/or pissed off.

11. Not true? You must've replied to my message accidentally because
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 01:46 AM by cestpaspossible
nothing in your message in any way contradicts anything in my message. Just what was it that I said that you claim is 'not true'?

2. EXCELLENT! I think Impeach Bush should be our mantra from now on
And great idea sending them the Downing Street Memo.

I gave it to a few conservative friends and they're pissed at ME.?!

I am so tired of signing petitions that seem to go nowhere. I think it's time we make some LOUD SCREAMING, "I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE" NOISE!

7. He is the radio announcer from "Network". He is the one that told
people to open their windows and yell, "I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE"

I should rent it also. Haven't seen it in years. Great movie.

10. No you are
not being harsh.
I don't think they will listen, the Democratic Party a.k.a. DNC ain't what it used to be and unfortunately it is maybe our last chance. No need to mention the DLC.
