Bush & Blair & the Downing St. Memo -- of course they denied it!
But they denied it so very, very badly!!

Normally glib Blair was tense and curt. Bush sputtered out some half-formed sentences and random thoughts, confusing himself so much he ended with a pathetic "what he (Blair) said and oh, by the way, the world is better off without Saddam Hussein".

And what in the world were they trying to get at with the "point" about the Downing Street memo being dated before they went to the UN? Of COURSE they were fixing intelligence before going to the UN. Hell, they were probably fixing intelligence the day after 9/11.

Bottom line: this is now most definately news. No more excuses wimpy media. The question was asked, the President responded. Investigate. Report. Do your job.

6. No, they certainly did not deny the authenticity of the memo

What the did say was:

Blair: "the facts were not being fixed in any shape or form at all."

Bush: "And somebody said, well, you know, we had made up our mind to go to use military force to deal with Saddam. There's nothing farther from the truth"

Clinton: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" (oops, wrong president)

It's now on record. If there are any self-respecting journalists still out there, this is the time to investigate.

7. This is probably the most important thing I learned from Watergate...
the non-denial denial.

4. Their Job Is To Prop Up the Regime
That is what the people who own the media are paying them to do.
