Poll question: How many 04 red states can Hillary win?
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 08:19 PM by usregimechange
It is damn well valid to ask! I am assuming it will take 3 red states plus all blue to win.

1. She MIGHT win Arkansas
but I really kind of doubt it. I'm not sure how popular Big Dog is there any more. I guess it would depend more on his popularity than hers.

6. Hillary will fare worse than McGovern in '72.
Sorry, I love Hill. But the country ain't ready for her. Period. Not even as VP. Sorry.

8. You do know McGovern won one state right?
Are you implying Hillary would lose all 50 states ?

Pretty ridiculous prediction!!!

I would rate her better than a 50% chance of winning the whole thing!!!

10. It has ignited...
Just not on this board. Sorry but she is clearly the favorite to win the Democratic nod right now (if she runs, and I hope she does).

If she is nominated, in my opinion, she will win the general.

11. They want her to run so badly, it's got to indicate that she will be
clobbered. What they throw at her will make the Swifties look like nothing.

13. So we have ceded to the Republicans the right to pick our candidate for us
How do you know they aren't talking her up because they know this is how we will react. I think the Republcians are worried about Hillary, I think she is far more popular than people here seem to think, and I think many are worried that the Republicans are going to attack her ruthlessly (like the wouldn't attack any of our candidates). If there are any politicians in the Democratic party who know how to handle attacks from Republcians - it is the Clintons!!!

Their worst nightmare is running against another CLinton!

16. Of course not. If Hillary is the nominee, I'll vote for her. There is no
telling what the Republicans are thinking about her candidacy. Would they be thrilled or terrified. I agree they will fight dirty no matter who the candidate is, they always do. Let's hope they are such a discredited and decimated party by then that whoever we run will win by a landslide.

17. Ceded wha...? To whom? Did I choose who should be my candidate yet?
Did I miss something? Are the primaries over?

All I know is that Hillary as the Nom means:

"Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton--28 years of American "Die-nasties"

This bumper sticker alone is a losing Democratic proposition...just based on American principle and pride...voters won't let it happen
(Note: this 28 year rule of two families disadvantage does not take into consideration the ADDITIONAL disadvantage of the 41% that will not vote for a woman as President....nor all of the other "baggage" associated with Hillary Clinton)

Damn....looks like with Hil on top of a ticket...the "Hill" to victory is quickly becoming a gigantic Mountain!

***please consider this post as a public service-thank you.

18. If we are rejecting Hillary because of what the Republicans are doing
Than we have ceded that power to them. We have given them a roadmap to getting us to pick the candidate they want to run against. All they have to do do is keep up a drumbeat of lies and scurrilous attacks until we get so frightened we pick someone else.

19. I just told you why Hillary as the nominee is a LOSER.....
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 09:13 PM by FrenchieCat
and it has very little to do with Republicans, and everything to do with why America is America (that's how the concept will be sold) and why Hillary as the nominee SUCKS bigtime!

See this bumper sticker that will make Hillary and the Democrats lose?
"

Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton--
28 years of American "Die-nasties" -
give us a break and vote _____________!

(insert name of Hillary's opponent in blank space)

I don't have a comeback for that bumper sticker....cause I clearly don't believe in Dynasties either.

Out of the millions of people America, I seriously question that the best that we can do is come up with the same two fucking families for 28 years?

I ain't hopping onto that losing re-frain!

21. Ok I see...
So no matter how qualified she may be otherwise, you will not support her because she is married to Bill Clinton ?

btw: Of the 43 Presidents, 8 have been related

Adams, Harrisons, Roosevelts, and Bushes - almost 20%

Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 09:25 PM by FrenchieCat
America doesn't need 28 years of 2 families. Period.

The concept itself will not sell.

There are millions of Americans....

Please give me a break from those two families. Nuff said!

14. Hillary is a great candidate and has already beat the Bushes in battle
Hillary rarely makes a misstep, she picks her battles well and is a fierce fighter. She is too corporate for my tastes, but don't doubt that Hillary can and probably will win. She would be an improvement over any RepukKKe and certainly has earned the chance.

15. God love Hillary, I know I do
but she will be creamed in a national election.

The Right has been raising money on the fear and hatred of the Clintons for almost 15 years now. That track of hatred has worn a deep rut in the american mind. There is no way she can do better than Kerry and she is likely to do much worse.

Hillary is great at raising money and awareness of issues. She should drop any pretense of a future run and stick to what she is good at.

24. I can't see her winning any
but she might have a small chance at Iowa, Nevada, Ohio, and FL.

But I still doubt it. At the same time, I could see her losing MI, NH, WI, and PA.
