Do you think that our male & female troops in Iraq and Afganistan know that we're not being informed about the truths of this war, and nor are they?

1. Not many people do
The war is about oil, oil pipelines, and more oil. Additional benefits that accrue are, big profits for Halliburton, and other companies that revolve around defense and oil. The third thing this oil brings is better election prospects for war-mongering Republicans, which drives their social agenda, that the majority of people generally disagree with. Amazing what people will give up if you scare the shit out of them.

....first female from Idaho to be killed in combat action in Iraq (19 year old Carrie French from Caldwell, Idaho) get?

She was killed this past Sunday. I'm sure she made national news (or at least I assume she did??) -- although bitching and moaning about Howard Dean is much more newsworthy it seems? :(

5. By bringing this up you are politicizing the death for your own purpose
according to rw nutbags. It's the excuse they have hatched not to discuss the slaughter of the US troops in favor of praising chimperor.

6. And someone will complain to the local paper that not enough
people showed her respect by turning out along the funeral route, etc. Of course they are just following the example of their commander in thief.

3. Ya wonder
Do they know if they come home in a bag that the press is not allowed to be present?

I am sure they realize that nobody in the press feels safe anywhere outside the green zone in Baghdad, and that the Iraqi people are really, really wanting to see the back end of ALL the humvees heading south.

So surely they know we are not getting hardly any of the real facts of what those poor soldiers lives are like.
