7. That boat sank a long time ago
Saw his wife speak a couple days after the thing broke, and I'd still vote for the SOB---but it's just old news, Like Biden plagiarizing old Neil Kinnock speeches...

3. Ronnie had also built up a personal political network for 15+ years
I don't think Hart has the organization he'd need to start a campaign for 2008.

4. I love Gary Hart and, had he not dared the press to catch him, he
might well have been president. Sadly, his time has passed. Had he really wanted to re-enter political life, there have been numerous Colorado races he could have run and won, positioning himself for anothe White House bid.

Unfortunately, he chose to stay in political retirement. Its the country's loss.

6. I generally admire your posts but not ones that make me feel OLD
:grr:

Hart should have been President, damn it! He just had to taunt the press about that blonde babe. One f'ing mistake and it screwed his life up and ours too.

8. In 2003 he considered running for 2004
but decided not to as their were already 9 contenders. He also considered running for the Senate from Colorado but decided against that too. I don't know what his reasoning was. Perhaps polls and focus groups convinced him not to try.

9. He also didn't have a Donna Rice
in his past that destroyed any chance he ever had in politics.
