I support the Bolton nomination.

I think our only hope for ending this fascist/imperialist dictatorship is if the entire rest of the world unites against us. And that's exactly what will happen if Bolton becomes our UN ambassador.

60 Minutes wednesday will include a segment on US prisons. They claim that one out of every 75 American men is in prison right now. I don't know how many are felons and therefore will not be permitted to vote, but it is probably a high percentage.

What with voter suppression, Diebold, SCOTUS, and the puke-controlled Congress, I don't have much hope for elections changing anything. I doubt if they'll impeach the chimp. And if we took to the streets en masse, they'd just use modern crowd control techniques and the concentration camps already in existence and waiting, to put us down.

Would they destroy the entire world if the world united against us? Probably. But they're going to do it anyway, so better sooner than later. Israel would probably be our last holdout ally, but I'll bet Bolton could alienate even them. The Democrats have not been able to keep a single reichwing judge from being appointed for life. Even with the support of a few sensible pukes, I doubt if they can stop the Bolton nomination. But that's probably a good thing. Most of our allies are governments who are supporting us against the will of their citizens. Bolton is likely to the the final straw.

1. No, I don't think so....
There are many in congress and the house who have a thing called a conscience. They have been waiting to make their voice heard.

7. They can make their voices heard all they want...

...but the way it looks to me is that their votes don't count any more than ours do.

You ask for an enquiry into DSM. It doesn't get out of committee. You round up the votes and get it passed. A white-wash committee is appointed to do the cover-up. Even if you managed a successful impeachment, the corporations probably already have the next elections sewed up. And anybody in this administration who is guilty of crimes will go before the judges the chimp selected, or appeal to the justices who selected the chimp. No hope there.

15. That's why the voting machines must be certain priority.
They are stacking the courts but so far there is only a few 11th circuit judges, and no one yet on the supreme court. But, they can't all be whitewashed now if you look at it. General Electric is going bankrupt fast and losing millions of dollars, they couldn't afford to whitewash everything.

Sure this is about corporate power, but I doubt they can withstand what is to come this time and the money speaks for itself.

2. Hmm. 1 in 75, eh?
Like the Dirty Dozen, why am I now picturing those men being offered a deal if they will go to Iraq and fill out our hollow army.

Sick thought, but somehow I wouldn't put it past them.

3. I knew someone who took that deal for Nam.

It was go to prison or enlist, so he enlisted.

I wonder how the mortality rates compare for U.S. troops in Iraq and people in U.S. prisons. I don't know that Iraq could actually be safer, but I bet it is close. It isn't just the violence in our prisons, they've also had things like drug-resistant TB epidemics.

5. Oh lovely, I didn't know that about the TB strain.
The thing is, they'd be waiving one of their criteria, which I think recruiters starting to do with more frequency anyway. But how would you like to have someone watching your back, or not as the case may be, who belongs in jail instead of on the front line?

12. This is an unjust war of agression based on lies.

So anybody watching your back there probably belongs either in jail or in a nuthouse. With so many deaths from friendly fire, I think I'd prefer the jailbirds to the nuts--at least they can shoot straight.

11. Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't done it already.
Men hardened by life in U.S. prisons would be ideal to carry out torture in the * war gulags.

Just let bolton get in there, and we will be at war with France within the week. ---

rest of the world is gonna LOVE it when a human gets in office rather than a chimp

and they'll love us more when chimpie and Bolton are in jail and we apologize for the crap they spewed.

9. I had similar thoughts about Bolton today
His appointment would be such a slap in the face to most of the rest of the world that they may finally band together and stop taking our shit.

Besides, if Bolton doesn't go through, will whoever is nominated by the * administration in his stead be that much different?

10. Bolton's intentions are partly known from...
... very old statements of his and from the fact that he was advising Jesse Helms on UN issues.

Bolton will likely recommend the US stop paying dues until the UN reorganizes around a plan suitable to the Bush administration--an attempt to turn the UN into a US client. If he's really bold, he might try to limit the veto power of the Security Council even further than it is now.

But, the UN, under a number of Secretaries-General, has survived previous attempts and an extended period when Helms had prevented the US from paying its dues.

But, don't hope for Bolton to ruin it. The lessons of history in that regard are very obvious. When the League of Nations fell apart, world war was following along not very far behind.

Cheers.

14. Why have we been establishing permanent military bases all over

the world, if chimpco isn't already planning to fight the world?

You know, you're either with us or against us, and there aren't too many left who are with us. PNAC doesn't plan small.

16. Sorry, but it seems to me that you're suggesting...
... a course of action that will hasten that end, rather than prevent it.

Cheers.

20. Hey, I didn't nominate Bolton,

but you're right, that's obviously WHY he was nominated, and I don't think it can be prevented. We're already at one of our cyclical overpopulation peaks, which are always inevitably followed by big die-offs like world wars and genocides.

Seeing it as inevitable, the only question is will it happen quickly or slowly. I prefer a quick death to a slow one because the kind of people who run concentration camps prefer to inflict slow deaths with lots of pain.

The only thing sadder than a schoolyard bully is his groupies. I don't support fascist/imperialist aggressors, and I don't think anyone else should. But there's nothing better for business than fascism and slave labor, so the corporations know which side they're on--I just want humanity to know also, and I think Bolton will wake up the few who are still sleeping.
