THE WAR AGAINST HOWARD DEAN: KILL THE TRUTH-TELLER
via The Light of Reason:

I see that Drudge has now launched what promises to be a full-scale war against Howard Dean, making Dean into the devil incarnate. I’m sure it will be all over the right blogosphere within hours, if it isn’t already. Take the major warning: if you dare to tell the truth in unflinching, unapologetic terms, the rightwing propaganda machine, aided by our craven, servile media, will destroy you.

The “offending” language is the following:

Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, unapologetic in the face of recent criticism that he has been too tough on his political opposition, said in San Francisco this week that Republicans are “a pretty monolithic party. They all behave the same. They all look the same. It’s pretty much a white Christian party.”

1. At least he is getting airtime which is what this party surely needs...
I am thrilled with his remarks concerning the Republican party, he needs to keep up the offensive game plan if the Dem party has any chance of regaining power.

4. Go Howard, go!
It's pretty brilliant, what he's doing. He's taking some well-aimed potshots at the Repubelickers, figuring that some of it is bound to: a)hit a nerve, and; b)stick. He's also perfectly willing to act as lightning rod/bad cop, which makes pretty much everybody else in the Democratic party look like a moderate in comparison. Plus, he's doing a great job of firing up the base (us!) and keeping himself and the Democratic party in the news. AND, it doesn't hurt that he's telling the truth--the Republicans have, after all, been framing themselves as the Jesus Party ever since the election. So why shouldn't someone in the Democratic party power structure agree with them?

5. We Must Of Missed The Memo From The Right---
We wondered why they have been so quiet. They were just regrouping with their new talking points. Apparently Dean is on the burner while the biggest crook DeLay lays silently in the background....

6. Well, as another no-bullshit guy, Harry Truman, once said. . .
"I never gave them hell, I just tell the truth and they think it's hell."
