I listen To Michael Savage

I can't help it.

Savage is the most insane person on the radio. He's so frightened of gays and the poor, you can tell what's forefront on his mind - sexuality and money.

I play this game when he's on. I count the factual errors in his rhetoric, his blatant contradictions, and the instances of his hate mongering. Sometimes I lose count, or give up, because the count gets too high.

I love it when he get's self-righteous. It's so hollow. It all sounds so fake. It reminds me of the Phil Hendry show, if you've ever listened to Hendry. Hendry fakes the voice of a kooky "guest," then gets people to call in to complain about the non-existent kook.

Unfortunately, on Savage's show, the kook is real, because the kook is Savage. One of these days, he's going to lose it on the air. I want to hear it as it happens. I want to be there. I want to be a witness to his breakdown. So I listen.

especially when he laughs at his own jokes. I can't stand that.

And some times he's just SOOO wrong that it pisses me off, so I switch to NPR for a radio sorbet.

Most of the time I just listen.

I can't help it, its tragic. I WANT him to blow a blod clot in his forehead.

I fear that The Weeeenie is going to eclipse The PigMan, because even Oxicontin won't let PigMan go as far as The Weeeenie.

savage is so pissed off at Amnesty Int'l who he refers to as "amnasty" and their director, William Shulz because Shulz is calling for an investigation into the Gitmo abuses. He's been calling Shulz a traitor for days and says he's guilty of treason and should be arrested, etc. etc., but yesterday i heard him go over the top. In a dripping with sarcasm voice, he said something along the lines of "i sure hope no crazies listening to this show go after this guy, Shulz -- i just hope they don't cause he sure is a traitor to this nation." he also told Shulz he hopes he's safe on his next vacation.

to me, it sounded like a veiled threat, but not all that veiled. savage is extremely narcissistic, often asking callers to call in and tell him Y he is so great and spending whole shows on his ratings when they come in. He is extremely homophobic and refers to anyone he doesnt' like as a pervert and a child molester. He is creepy and scary and to me he's a bit sad because he's so transparent.

I heard him use that very same term (turkey baster feminists). It didn't click at first--obviously he was talking to his long time listeners, but when it dawned on me what he was saying I had to turn the channel. He was so snotty about it, so oily and deprecating.

I wonder if he has any close friends. He seems like the type of person who would be a bore at a party, yet consider himself the star guest. You know -- laughs at his own jokes, commonly makes wisecracks at some elses expense, talks about himself, raises his voice when he loses control of the conversation, etc...
