ACLU Statement on religious freedom - very succinct

Advocates of intolerance have decided that now is the time to go for it all - a society governed by their interpretation of the Bible - ruled over by theocratic politicians - serviced by faith-based, tax-payer funded institutions - and permeated with a rigid Christian doctrine which neither citizens nor judges should dare to speak up.

That's not American - and we will never let it become America. Please act now.
