WOW! Dorgan taking on the media now in the Senate...
Talking about media concentration and PBS being the only station willing to cover it. Mentions companies by name. That man is fearless.

2. Not a lot. But what he's talked about
is absolutely on target and has been forceful. He's chewing around a fairness doctrine.

5. Byron Dorgan is the greatest example of a true progressive...
...from a "red state". He's always right on the mark.

6. Watching it, he is doing outstanding, mentioned the reality that
one company is pretty much the owner of our media and journalistic outlets,

He mentioned doing an advanced google of the word unbelievably stupid and his name came up. His point is that the slander techniques used towards democrats is farther reaching to more people than the truth and not limited to the biased so called free airways that give the American people it's daily intake of news

Never heard of him before, clear and demonstrative speaker for the Dems.

7. Im not surprised ya dont know dorgan;
he's north dakotas senator; its really weird he keeps getting reelected but I certainly like it. Maybe its because we saw how stupid we were voting bush in our elections and made a good decision.

11. Talking about outsourcing jobs as well and how big business has
no problems firing American workers in order to achieve cheaper labor overseas....

This practice honestly needs to be stopped, he is speaking so fast and so full of factual information, one should find the video of this speech and watch it when they have more time..

thank God for Cspan...

8. Unfortunately...
he's using facts. Facts that this administration would just as soon bury.

The gop will cut the funding. They don't like to be bothered defending the autrocities they commit with each and every policy they push on us all.

2006 can't come soon enough. You can say that 2008 is light years away considering the damage remaining to be inflicted on our country. We need to pick up major seats in congress in 2006 or this hell will never end.

9. He's talking about outsourcing and products no longer made in
the US. He's telling workers that they have become like wrenches, use 'em up and throw them away. This NEEDS to be the message of the Dem party and they could have hammered this sucker home for the last 4 years. Wonder if any of his colleagues are paying attention.

10. "People literally died in the streets for the right to organize...
for child labor laws...". This is the language that needs to go to the heart of a worker's movement. This is the language that the corporations fear.

Now, this is what we should hear more often from our elected officials, things that matter to people.

Dorgan is probably the best politician to come out of nd. Not only is he making the people happy; he also gives great speeches like this one. Truly a unique breed of politician.
