3. Don't respond! That's a fraud
I can't find a source anymore, but I remember reading that that was a scam. The real "Friends of John Kerry" only raises money through email and the internet.

4. I got an e-mail from Kerry
I gave to the Democratic Party, One America Committee (John Edwards), and Barbara Boxer's PAC this year. As much as I support this particular cause about healthcare for all kids, Kerry kept most of the leftover campaign funds for himself, and I think he can afford to fund the ad without a contribution from me.

5. Why doesn't he use the money many of us gave to stage a
recount fight? Most of that money should still be available.

6. 17000 lawyers gotta eat
I doubt that there is much left. The poll watchers and folks who spread out during the election seemed to have taken much of that, from what I read.

Also, PAC money must be fresh. No transfers.

8. I don't understand what you mean
Kept most of what leftover campaign funds?

He's given a million to the DNC to welcome Howard Dean.

He gave 25000, I think it was, to help the Democrat in Washington win her recount.

He gave a half a million, I think it was, to the DCCC to help elect Dems this next year.

He gave more during the campaign than anyone has ever given to the DNC. And still he got bitched out for not giving more. He had no idea what he would need for the election. He prepared for a Gore-style recount fight, and ended up with a new kind of screwing, vintage 2004.

People bitch that he has too much, but then I see people bitch when he gives it away, saying that he's currying favor with it. How CAN the man win.

In addition, he didn't keep all that much more really than Gore did in 2000. Gore had about 8 mil I read, and Kerry had about 14 or 15 mil. Nobody screamed at Gore, and it was terribly ironic when the first person to bitch this time was Gore's campaign manager, Donna Brazille. I don't understand why Kerry gets so much flak, esp. when I doubt that many of us understand campaign finance and how it works.

Also, if this is for his PAC, it must be fresh money. That's the rules. He can't use those leftover funds for this.
