Seriously-how can citizens introduce a bill to cut health benefits

1. Try Constitutional Amendment by Initiative Petition.

The Fristians do that all the time to deny us full and equal rights.

2. Some states

allow referenda and state constitutional amendments on the ballot. They get there by collecting signatures of registered voters. Here in Arkansas, they are really picky about wording, and it is hard to get something on the ballot. Don't know about Michigan.

4. well, if you're talking about congress,

without congressional approval, you would need a constitutional amendment, which would require 3/4 of the STATE legislatures.

this, too, is damn near impossible, since the vast majority of state legislators fully expect to become congresscritters one day.

so you're pretty much s.o.l. with formal procedures.

the other option would be to mount a p.r. campaign to embarrass and humiliate them, including running some candidates who promise to refuse federal health insurance until all citizen are covered.

that has a much better shot, but that's not saying much.

5. Make sure you let all politicians know you want health care.

Make sure every local, state and national candidate who asks you for support or money know that you want them to support national health care coverage.
Call them and write them. Even call and write to candidates who don't represent you.
Write letters to the editors of newspapers.
Make phone calls to radio and TV talk shows.
When enough of us are demanding health care for all, the politicians will get the backbone to work for it. The politicians are getting paid off by the drug companies, hospitals and doctors. Until we get enough people supporting the candidates who believe in health care, we are SOL, (Shit Outta Luck).
