1. If only the cure is not too late.
More people are listening; some are making breakthroughs, waking up, experiencing a bit of enlightenment. I personally want to see this gang of crazies burn, but removing them from anything like a position of responsibility would, I suppose, suffice.
Without heroes like Conyers, where would we be?

6. I'm going to bed now, If someone could keep checking NPR's Website
and post an updated Link when they update the Morning Add. web page, I'd appreciate it. The link to the page is in the original post.

Hey! They just reported it again (Headline updates on the 1/2 hour)

They mentioned the "Hundreds of Thousands of Signatures of Americans wanting more answers..."

7. Look for it on the major networks later today
From John Conyers' blog:

"For those commenters who were concerned (or hoping) that there would be a media blackout of the forum, that will not be the case. I have every major network, other than Fox, bringing cameras to the hearing. Nightline is taping the event, which I think represents a welcome development from a well respected investigative program. In addition, C-Span 3 and Radio Pacifica are carrying it live."

I'll be very surprised if we don't get watered down stories heavy on the RW spin, but it's still bringing the inquiry into people's living rooms!! :woohoo:

Democrats Investigate Downing Street Memo

Listen to this story...at link above (4:44)

by Mary Louise Kelly

Morning Edition, June 16, 2005 · Democrats on Capitol Hill hold a hearing today on the so-called Downing Street Memo. The memo for British Prime Minister Tony Blair reportedly suggests that U.S. intelligence was ''being fixed" in 2002 to back up President Bush's desire to invade Iraq.

(They even mention that Rep. Conyers will be taking a petition with "more that 500,000 signatures", and one of the mothers makes a comparison to the way Watergate started!)

On Edit: If you have trouble with the audio, let me know, I can usually help

11. I heard it this morning
during my hour long commute. It was hopeful, to say the least.

They had this jackass on saying that this DSM only shows what side of the war you are on (for us or against us). His point was that if you're against the war, it shows that Bush was looking at the potential for war.

If you are for the war, then by all means, we need to prepare for this thing before it happens.

His generalization was so demeaning it was almost funny.

Too back thousands upon thousands of live have already been lost due to this stupid logic.
