Don't go for the "homerun"...
In regards to the DSM, we should not make the mistake of putting out the equivalent of the Watergate "tapes" in the first at bat. As Rep. Conyers has stated, this is just an "investigation". We are looking for facts. Some very serious charges have been made.

We need to move the runners forward with singles and walks, not home runs. We need patience to keep this story going. If you go for a homerun and strike out, it does not help the cause or the country.

We need to use the Watergate investigation as the model. Details were very slow in coming out. But each detail was like a bloop single that kept the game going. I think this might be the best way to "investigate" this story. We should not assume any guilt at the top. We will let the facts speak for themselves. The truth is important.

1. Are u speaking baseball because it's the season
or do you really love baseball??? LOL.

I agree with you on this. It's nice to speculate and dream but this action has to set it's own pace. We have to be diligent and patient. With all the bad mouthing going on right now about the Iraq war, I think CCB is gonna find some rats jumping ship (my dream).

3. It does no good to declare Bush guilty before the investigation...
even though we may know that he is. The point is to get out the truth and to bring other people along in the pursuit. Then, let the legal aspects take their course, whether it be impeachment, resignation, or whatever...

2. But The Media Will Bury It, Like Plamegate & Everything Else...
...if it is ever allowed out of the public consciousness for a few minutes.

4. The only thing I disagree with you on is
the Plame thing didn't result in any deaths (or haven't I heard?). The DSM has directly resulted in the deaths of thens of thousands, including over 1,700 of our own. It seems like the MSM is finally starting to "see the light" 'cause their ratings are going down.

Not trying to flame you, just making a point.

6. We Would Not Have Heard About Deaths from Plamegate
These would have been Valerie Plame's undercover agents in the field.
("The field" being mostly hostile countries where being identified as
an American agent would cause bad things to happen to you).

How many deaths may happen if, as a result of the destruction of
Valerie Plame's network, terrorists actually do get a nuke and use it?

:nuke::nuke::scared:

7. I seem to recall
I seem to recall that blowing Valerie Plame's cover exposed some of her contacts in the field, and they were killed. I could be wrong about that, but it's certainly an interesting little tidbit for the popular media to have forgotten or chosen to overlook, isn't it?

10. Plame's network of contacts in hostile areas may have been discovered
and killed. There was some speculation in this regard as I recall...not to mention the setback and danger of exposing the network itself.

5. The DSM is related to Plamegate, and Plamegate is rising again.
One of the speakers today is Joe Wilson, Valerie Plame's husband. The reason Plame was outed was retaliation for Wilson speaking out and caliming that evidence was being falsified.

The pieces of the puzzle are falling in place...

11. The media TRIED to bury it. They FAILED.
We have learned from the past. We are BETTER at getting the message out than we were just last year (for example). We have more electronic voices than last year. Our reps are better organized and STRONGER than just last year. We are ALL getting stronger, faster, better every day.

Yes, this will take time. It will NOT be a blow out. It's gonna be a long game. It will take the rest of our lives. It took the repukes 73 fucking YEARS from 1932 to destroy most of the progressive policies and it will not be put right overnight.

Understand that it will be a constant battle forever, or until the illnesses of greed and hate are eradicated, and you will feel better about your participation.

Just MHO.
