Just had an epiphany: The weapons/explosives were LEFT UNGUARDED INTENTIONALLY.

Think about it. You have to wonder why would even this administration, many who were involved in Gulf War I, would be so incompetent (yeah, yeah, I like to think they are too). But let's just assume for a minute they aren't (they are the leaders of a super power afterall).

So what good would come of leaving the weapons ungaurded? It would fuel an insurgency for years to come (as the author of the above article noted). This GIVES us a reason to STAY IN IRAQ. As long as they are blowing stuff up over there, the provisional gov't will keep asking us to stay. This gives us time to build military bases to be used as staging grounds for wars with Syria and Iran and to basically control the middle east for years to come. Think of the BILLIONS of dollars big corporations like Halliburton, Enron and Bechtel stand to make. This is exactly what the administration wants. It's not incompetence, it's intentional. Bush will have the dictatorship he's always wanted and he (and his cronies) will become BILLIONAIRES.

We must stop this at all costs.

Now you begin to understand...I had thought all the CPA confusion, lack of locally awarded reconstruction contracts, the complete bombing of local communications, water, sewage and telephone infrastructure BEFORE the war was a bit of givaway...

Take a look at some of the early CPA documents regarding who "owns" what in Iraq that were drawn up by Bremer and Associates...then realize that one of the first things done after getting rid of the CPA was to write all the CPA amendments into permanent law...

Wonder why the CPA PERMANENTLY disbanded ALL Iraqi Labour Unions? Ever hear of "Order 39?" This is the bill that allows up to 100% foreign ownership of Iraqi businesses...There have been a lot of scummy things going on, and I dearly hope that the general public will be made aware of them soon...

Originally it was the looting that convinced me that this was nothing more than a corporatist invasion - when, at the start of the invasion, the only Ministry protected in all of Iraq was the OIL MINISTRY...
