He said it. Bonifaz said it.
He said it. On TV. In the hearing.

And so the game is truly afoot.

So few words. So much history to come.

15. I think it is a mistake to say the word until investigation is complete
Just my opinion...It tends to shut off those that might otherwise listen to the facts...it makes it look purely partisan.

17. We have minced our words since the 2000 elections.
Perhaps it is now the time for straight, blunt, no holds-barred discussion of the issues of our day.

27. I understand and mostly agree...
But "impeachment" cannot happen with a minority Party. It would have to have majority support. I think the best way to draw them to our side is to lay out the facts and the truth before we declare it's time to impeach. An attempt at a homerun may end up as a strikeout. Take it slower, in my opinion.

30. I'd like to hear Republicans explain why this is NOT impeachable.
I think that is how it should be framed.

Example:

DEM: "Will there be an Impeachment? Well Wolf, that is a question you should ask Republican congress members. I'd like the same congressmen who said lying was impeachable to explain why this case is different. As it is, they are now strangley silent on the issue of honesty in government for some reason..."

31. First, I would like to hear the Republicans explain why the facts...
are not true. Then, impeachment is the next step. First, we prove the case. We can't impeach before we prove the case.

32. Just to clarify, I dont care whether Bush really gets impeached or not,
So long as folks are discussing it during the '06 & '08 elections.

I think it should constantly be used to question GOP honesty- like Harry Reid did today when he brought it up in reference to the Bolton nomination.

Using it to destroy GOP political, moral, & "strong on defense" capital is good enough for me.

34. I basically agree with you...
Although Bush should be impeached, I think the likelihood is not probable with his Party in power and the present worship status he has with so many right-wingers. However, I agree that we should hammer Bush and the Republicans right up to 2008 and beyond if necessary...

25. I hear your concern but disagree with your conclusion -- lies have to have
consequences; and if a blowjob lie merited the Resolution of Inquiry as a first step toward Impeachment, you DAMNFUKKIN right a Resolution of Inquiry is warranted - and so much for the meme: "nothing new here" because the truth must at last sing free.

20. Wow.
Bush...Bush is really fucked now. Well, he should be anyway. I wonder what the White House's response will be. I really can't wait to hear it. My prediction is that they'll throw someone, say from his staff, under the bus for this one. It also wouldn't surprise me nothing happens to Bush, as well. Keep in mind that with impeachment has only been used once legitamately. That was to drop Nixon for Watergate. The other two instantces, which were Johnson and Clinton, it was used for bullshit reasons. So apparently a president can only be impeached if he pisses off the opposing party, he pisses off his own party, or he orders a break-in of a hotel. God, I love the political process in this country :D . But seriously, my prediction stands.

However, much will depend on how many members of Congress feel they were mislead and how many will stand up for that.

38. Bonifaz just answered my question. Congress unlawfully transferred
it's power to declare war! Just heard it at 5:25PM at the hearing.

Now those congressmen who said I'll trust the Pres. and if he feels, based upon the info he has, he must go to war, I'll sign the resolution. "Now those same Congressmen feel duped!"

33. Take that Texas!
Ok, before the election I speculated on how great it would be to have a Mass. trifecta: the Super Bowl, World Series, and presidency. I was laughed at. Then of course the Red Sox squashed the Yankees and then won the World Series. Now, it can be claimed that Kerry lost due to election fraud, but we missed it due to losing the election.

And now we have a Mass. lawyer bitch-slapping our Texas president and his criminal administration. ha! Us Massholes may get the last laugh afterall.

36. online poll
Please feel free to visit www.newsgazette.com and vote on the following poll question:

"Should Senator Dick Durbin apologize for comparing U.S. troops guarding prisoners to Nazis, Stalinists, or Pol Pot?"

As usual, this rag takes things out of context in order to stir up the locals. Dick Durbin is an excellent senator and we need to support him.

Thanks!
