No Media Coverage For DSM Hearning Now: Another Earthquake!
Good god. Another earthquake has hit California. And now that is all the media is talking about NON STOP. There was no damage, no deaths, no nothing, yet that is all they are talking about and will be for hours and hours.

I can't stand all this garbage dominating the news! Someone do something!

3. and a 5.3 to boot
they are incorrigible. They can run for now but they will have to get involved - the bottom line will be ratings.

4. They will never cover DSM
The Earthquake only gave them some breathing room before they brought back the Jacko Jury Members for more questions or the Runaway Bride's neighbors for more analysis.

Don't we get it? We are a controlled society like 1984.

6. Well, this earthquake *is* news.
It scared the bejesus out of me and I'm 50 miles away from epicenter.

When the big jolt hit, I was already heading for a doorway. Things were shaking and it was not a fun time.

Also, this is the third major earthquake along the west coast in a very few days. People are notably concerned.

So, "Yes," this is important news.

9. Yea to you
It is LOCAL news. I am tired of all these local stories being pushed on us by the commercial news stations. I could see if this was a major quake that caused damage or death, but this is ludacris. You can only talk about a subject so much before it becomes IRRELEVANT!

10. No doubt
I have been through many earthquakes and they can be scary. My point was that if it wasn't this story, the corporate media would find something else to cover instead of the DSM.

You you and you're family are ok.

We're talking about three major quakes in a few days all along the west coast fault zone. People are scared and need to know what the fuck is happening, if for no other reason than to make sure that they know what to do if and when a damaging, possibly very deadly, quake occurs. It would be hugely irresponsible to not cover this.

And BTW, this is not local news. There are four states and many millions of people along this fault zone. These people *need* to know what is going on.

Note, that I am *not* saying that this should push out news of the DSM, which is an earthquake of a different sort.

On edit: The fact of the matter is that covering these earthquakes saves lives.

13. You don't get it
That is what LOCAL news is for. Don't tell me LA, SF, and other cities along the fault don't have enought media outlets to alert people of this. The whole country shouldn't be put on alert, especially when there are 10x more important things that should be being discussed.

First, nobody is suggesting that the DSM news be pushed off by earthquake news, certainly not me.

This is *NOT* local news when multiple millions of people in four states are concerned, your statements to the contrary notwithstanding. The earthquake coverage saves lives. It would be irresponsible for national news to ignore it. If there is something behind these three large quakes, the people who live all along the west coast of the United States have a right to know and the national news organizations have an obligation to report it.

I'm done with this lunatic argument. The earthquakes are important news. Get over it.

On edit: You look and decide for yourself whether this might be important. Over 800 earthquake events in the past week.
