Bush is in the toilet and the water's swirling as he gets flushed
(CBS) After his election victory, President Bush said he had earned political capital and he planned to spend it. But six months into his second term, that capital appears to be all but gone.

In a CBS News/New York Times poll out Thursday, more than half the public disapproves of the job he's doing. And it gets worse from there:

# Only 39 percent approve of his handling of the economy.
# Only 39 percent approve of his handling of foreign policy.
# Only 37 percent approve of his handling of the war in Iraq.
# Only 25 percent approve of his handling of Social Security.
# Only the campaign against terrorism gets the approval of more than half those questioned.

The biggest drop off is among Americans aged 30 to 44. In just the past month, his approval rating in that group has fallen 14 points.

.... more at http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/06/16/eveningnews/main702480.shtml

This boy's gunna go down.

And so fast that small furry creatures will miss a chance to swat his ass.

Those poll numbers are just plain awful. Horrible. His only positive is in his handling of terra .... that amorphous blob of shit they cooked up as a catchall for a guy who likes to play GI Joe when he's not busy riding his little tricycle.

1. But we need to make sure that people understand the problems...
with * by the time the mid-terms come around. What we want is to take back congress, or at least one house.

6. I think that's exactly what's going to happen
People will understand.

I'd love to think impeachment will be the result, but I have far less hope for that. One house of Cogress ... more hope.
