Quantanamo should be shut down permanently...
Including the naval operations. It is a recipe for disaster whenever there is a place where everyone is shut out and people in control can do whatever they wish. The evil nature of people will eventually take control when put into such situations. There have been psychological tests done on people for many years, under controlled situations with electricity in their chairs, etc, and when they are put into complete control, they resort to evil and cruel tortures on their fellow man. It is very difficult for anyone to get into Quantanamo, including the press or the Red Cross, and it is very believeable that all these things that have been documented really happened and more...

1. Castro should make it a museum
Leave it to George W. Bush to make Fidel Castro look like a human rights hero.

3. shutting down one branch of the gulag
is nonsense. What has to stop is our illegal behavior. What we are violating are Human Rights, and that has to stop.

Detention without charges - crime against humanity.
Indefinite detention - crime against humanity.
Isolation, close confinement, shackling - crimes against humanity.
Humiliation - crime against humanity.
Torture - crime against humanity.
Execution - crime against humanity.

We are guilty of war crimes. Our leaders need to be deposed and sent to the Hague for trial. At least they will get due process and humane treatment.

5. they want to build a new fancy more expensive one
with a death chamber. The right propaganda machine is cranking out charge after charge that they get gourmet meals and no other dentition camp in history has been more humane. We need to counter all of that with the truth about the mistreatment. Rush Limpdick is going on about a few stress positions and being chained to the floor, so what?
