when the public is now so upset about Iraq? What is going to happen to his plans for these countries now? Will we see another manufactured 9/11? I don't think just a simple terra alert is going to do it anymore.

1. Well he has no troops
and with the 2006 elections coming up very little support in Congress. They got burnt once by him...

And bin Forgotten is still free, but if he hits us again, the first question everybody will ask it WHY DIDN"T YOU CATCH HIM....

IMHO,,, He is a Lame Duck just does not know it yet....

Iran has Sunburn missles, and they could take out a carrier. So if zero brains Bush thinks a couple bombing raids will take out Iran,, he is CRAZY.....

2. *
If all-American icons such as Halliburton and Bechtel are willing to roll up their sleeves and 'get the job done,' why should our preznit listen to slackers who see things differently? I think he's got tunnel vision right now.

3. The same way they tried to do in Venezuela.
Rile up a small group, play it up in the Western media so that they look like the majority, then funnnel a bit of money their way and watch the fireworks.

Exactly what they tried to do to Chavez.

4. Imposing democracy
This is something a Libertarian friend of mine posted on my message board last year.

---

Imposing a democracy on a soverign nation is pure evil. Democracy is not freedom, in fact it is opression. That was a good example. democracy is basically a “mobocracy,” where the ruling majority can take away the rights of individuals. That is not freedom. In a Republic, the people have guaranteed rights such as those defined in our bill of rights.

Madison said “Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death.”

Thomas Jefferson said "A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine."

In a republic 99% can not take away the rights of 1%.

The average Iraqi will not be to excited when he finds out he now has to Register his car, or pay 10 differant taxes just to live, or to pay the government an extortion fee to keep his property. They dont want democracy. We are lucky, in the US we allready have a document that guarentees a republic and my rights.

.....

Remember the Constitution was not made to regulate man, it was made to regulate government to keep it from trying to regulate men.

This is basically what "Republicans" are traditionally supposed to be all about.

But in this upside-down bizarro-world we now live in, the Republicans are the ones abusing democracy, bankrupting our treasury, eroding individual rights, and promoting big government.

Now we find that the Democrats are the ones fighting for individual freedom, protecting the constitution, and preserving the "Republic".

Who would've thunk?
