WASHINGTON — Several parents of soldiers killed in Iraq visited Capitol Hill on Wednesday to ask for congressional hearings on the Downing Street memo, which one mother called President Bush’s “Watergate.”

Maybe the families who lost loved one in Iraq can. At least the troops know that Bush thinks that their lives aren't as important as oil for his buddies.

The troops need to know this. It's their lives this schmuck has put on the line. I wonder how long they'll like being used as pawns. When the moms start speaking out, it's hugely significant. After all, some of those moms are the mothers of dead soldiers that some of the guys reading this story in "Stars and Stripes" knew - and still mourn. This is MOST significant. EXCELLENT that "Stars and Stripes" is running it. Remember, most of what they're getting over there is the Pox "news" network... so they're not gonna see much truth unless it's in something like this.

This is THE publication for the enlisted people in the US. I don't know what their publication numbers are, but I understand they have a very large readership. Just imagine the rage boiling over when America's enlisted read that this entire was was based on lies.

My neighbor is an ex-marine. I think he reads this. I wonder what he thinks of the article.

When it hits the printer's ink, that means it's acknowledged. It's a mere step between that and....open revolt.

for helping to bring this to the attention of people especially since it's actually an accurate article without the usual spin we're accustomed to with the MSM.

We should also encourage him to follow up on this as thousands of military families are going to be LIVID for what this admin has done. And ask him to provide links to both www.downingstreetmemo.com and www.afterdowningstreet.org for military families to get more info, especially about OTHER collaborating documents.

Our precious sons and daughters in uniform DESERVE to know the truth. Their lives should NEVER AGAIN be squandered because some calculating political bigshot had a jones for war, or some personal score to settle, or was itching to pick a fight with another sovereign nation. It's the truth. It needs to get out. All of America needs to know.

It's the ONLY way to ensure that all the beloved souls we've lost in this awful, reckless, and completely unnecessary war did not die in vain. It's also probably the ONLY way that we'll ever see true justice served, and this war stopped, so our dear ones can come home, OUT of harm's way (where they NEVER should have been sent, to begin with).

Truth hurts sometimes. But it does set you free.
