Hopefully my last mass email
I just wrote this and have not sent it yet. I have many Repub friends who are pissed at me for shooting off emails in response to transparent, pro-war ones that are probably started in the frigging White House. I'm posting it here first probably because I'm a little a'scared to send it around to the wolves just yet. I realize most people are not going to change their minds one bit. It's hard to live with the feeble minded.

======================================================================

"Every anti-Muslim joke and every Pro-Christian and Pro-American email that is forwarded around the web is a façade to keep up support for the war. And every Pro-War message you forward makes you a moving force behind this war. I can see through these emails and so can a lot of people. They are not sent so that people will bless their mail person or their neighbor. They are not sent to promote peace and harmony. They are not sent to send hope to people. No, they have an agenda. They are started by people who want to keep “moral” up with the American people so they will not see the reality of what is happening in the war.

I know a lot of people have turned against me because of my vocal stance against this war and all the propaganda that is being sent around to try and justify it. But I cannot NOT say anything. I will not be part of a mass murder. I will not condone an illegal war. And if need be I will sacrifice my friends to stand by my convictions.

Because losing friends is painful but it is a mere pittance of a sacrifice compared to the people who have died because of this war. Nothing can compare to a mother whose son is gone forever. Nothing can compare to a child that has lost her mother. Nothing can compare to a soldier coming home with no legs. Nothing can compare to the trauma so many of them are going to suffer and how it is going to affect them for years to come.

And nothing you or anyone can say about me can be worse than what has happened to the tens of thousands of children who are dead or have been burned or lost limbs or will suffer their entire lives because of the trauma they experienced at the hands of the American people.

No I am not proud to be an American who supports this war. There is nothing to support. There was no threat, there was no justifiable reason, and there is no excuse.

And right now I am crying. And the question I want answered is: Why isn’t everyone else?"

take your email address down now through editing. There are people who will get it and blast you with junk. Tell people to PM you what they have.

4. I responded to a support the troops chain letter sent to me
around Memorial Day.

It had a small military unit in formation that spelled out 9-11 We Remember

So of course I had to set the record straight that 9-11 had nothing to do with the war in Iraq.

I also said that if we were to really support and honor the troops we would be trying harder to defend our American civil liberties and democracy here at home.

I then sent it to every single e-mail address that I could see.

I only got one response back saying "Bulls**t, Ms. XXX XXX. Don't ever e-mail me again."

It was soooooooooooo hard to keep from replying.

9. Even though I have gotten a few really nasty replies I have
also gotten some really nice ones. One email I sent out was in response to a joke that, in essence makes Democrats look like people who want to live on disability, (hence not be healed by Jesus)

A day or so later some man who was NOT on the list emailed me and said:

"I lost a leg in Vietnam. Thanks for your compassion"

5. In your next to the last paragraph...feed them a logical thought to add
to their consciousness....

9-11 was a criminal act against us and should have been addressed in the courts, just as the first wtc bombing was. Iraq was not responsible for 9-11. We ended up in Iraq through the private agenda of this administration. They have been hoodwinked into believing that Iraq was responsible when a court of law could have handled it all. And aside from 9-11, we had already gone after Saddam by aid to Iraqis who wished to overthrow Saddam, spys, investigators, embargos, and the worldwide sanctions. And there were no reported incidences of Iraqis terrorizing the world even though we are killing thousands upon thousands of their people.

(Of course we know that the admistration could not have pursued the court of law route for 9-11 as there may not have been any hijackings other than the ones orchestrated by our own, but you don't want to say that.)

Mix some facts with the heart.

Let us know what happens.

8. Thanks - I guess I figured that by NOW everyone would know
that 9/11 was not the reason we went to war. I give them to much credit I guess.

10. Was the first World Trade Center Bombing addressed in the courts?
I wasn't paying much attention then.

I received some good advice in pm to not personalize the email so much. I think that it is Important to point out to people what these "Christian" emails are really about. But the advise to get my crying eyes out of it is good. (Haven't sent it yet)

Maybe I'll post the first paragraph again since I really want to point out what these Pro-America, Pro "Christian" propaganda emails are really about.

13. Yes

The spirtual advisor to the group, the 1st bombing's equivalent of Osama bin Laden, has been rotting in a jail cell for over a decade. And not just any cell. It was built especially for him. He is allowed no contact with the outside world except for his lawyer (who was, last I heard, in jail for smuggling messages to his followers; which would mean he is now allowed no contact period for abusing the contact he was permitted).

12. I'd also just threaten
to send a $___ (1, 5 10) donation with every anti-muslim, pro-Bush, pro-neocon agenda, anti-American email that you recieve. You may not do it. But threatening it would make people stop in their tracks from sending you this crap again.

Then any other time you get an email from the same author spewing the same crap just respond back $X more to the Democratic party or the ACLU or whatever liberal progressive organization there is out there.
