A suggestion for a ticket that would destroy the two major parties.
If the Democrats mess up again, they won't win. No one will trust a moderate Democrat again. But this ticket just might be the end of the stronghold the two major parties have on the voting system. I don't know that either candidate would go for it though. DK is pretty loyal to the Democratic Party. So it's pretty unlikely. But it is something to think about.

Picture this: Dennis Kucinich as the Presidential candidate and Ron Paul (a Republican who regularly stands up against the Republican agenda on matters involving civil liberties)as the vice presidential candidate. The ticket would have the backing of both Democrats and Republicans who are fed up with business as usual.

2. let's face it. The only group(s) the two party system benefits...
are the two parties. The fix is in. You either play ball with the lobbyists and corporate special interests, or you don't get to play. Asking congress to reform itself is like asking corporate America to police and reform itself. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

3. This double negative won't win dog catcher
Both will turn off each others base.

Not a soul in the GOP will vote for Dennis. Not a soul in the Democratic party will vote for Paul

4. As I recall, 2-3 percent was all Dennis could get out of the Dem.
I think he is a sincere and honest man but he can't draw a crowd when it comes to the general public voting.

8. Dennis gets 70% of the votes in a 50/50 district.

He also came in number two behind Kerry at the Democratic Convention. He left Dean in the dust in Hawaii, a Democratic stronghold.

14. god bless him for being ahead of the pack sometimes but
come on, be fair.

1- His 2004 showing was not 70% in his district, while still a landslide, he lost some support from previous races.
2- His Hawaii showing, a high mark, was after Dean had dropped out
3- He only broke 15% in a handful of states, many after he was kerry's only competition
4- If delegates had stuck to the candidates they had been elected for, Kucinich would have been 4th at the DNC

good congressman, did not hit as a presidential candidate. will he ever? i doubt it but who knows for sure. dole in 1980 was swamped in NH with less than 1000 votes. in 1996 he was the nominee.

7. The thing they have in common is integrity and that's a big draw.
I've seen Republicans re-register as Democrats, just because of Dennis. Dennis talks the truth and that appeals, not just to Democrats, but to Republcians, Greens, and DS's. Ron Paul has sent out alerts that Democrats follow when it comes to expansion of the PATRIOT Act and attacks on our freedom. He recently sent out the alert on that really bad U.N. Bill. Democrats love Dennis and so do people of all party who love truth. I don't agree with Ron Paul on a lot of stuff but he's not afraid of Bush and he doesn't let Bush control his vote, something rare for a Republican. The number one thing we have to do is to restore integrity to the government. Cowardly candidates from either side of the eisle won't be able to do that.

12. Integrity is synonymous with Dennis's name
I like the way Ron Paul keeps telling everyone to oppose the Republican bills.

5. An administration like that
Would be a mess. Something along the lines of the mess that was the Jackson administration.

13. Do you have a problem with integrity?
Jackson was a slave-trader with no integrity. Comparing the two administrations is like comparing the Bush Administration with the JFK Administration. There's no connection.

6. Genius...aaaaaaahhh... I hope you are making a poor attempt at
humor. Will not even get off the ground. I doubt either one would consider it. "Business as usual" will lose no sleep, in fact will rest well with this notion of a Kucinich-Paul ticket.

11. Great ticket. It will probably result in a landslide victory for DK.
Just so long as DK is at the top of the ticket. Dennis is one of eight members of Congress who always votes our way. Ron Paul has a better voting record than most Democrats on civil liberties. Paul's not as good on social issues. But I bet that he will pull in the vote of most of the Republicans who are not neo-cons. It's a winning ticket. I'm guessing the result will be an 80%+ victory.
