Get on the PEACE TRAIN! Southern activists to Washington!
Edited on Thu Jun-23-05 01:12 AM by Dylan Garcia

The Louisiana Activist Network has moved on to its next big project: to organize a PEACE TRAIN from New Orleans to Washington,DC, picking up activist groups across the South, on our way to Washington, DC to represent the solid antiwar majority in the government's back yard on
September 24, 2005.

Southern activists who wish to get in on this gig should start talking to us here: http://www.newdemocracyrising.com/messageboard.asp

The train leaves New Orleans early on September 23rd.

This could be an incredible life experience. Please get a group together and join us.

Peace soon,

Annie & Buddy Spell

1. That's a great idea! Not anywhere close to me...but still a great idea.
Maybe something similar could happen along other AmTrak lines.

3. The trip is 25 hours from New Orleans
Not sure where you are located but round trip tickets are available. Some people will have to fly back so that they can be at work within a reasonable amount of time.

check out www.newdemocracyrising.com message board for links to the amtrak schedule and rates.

4. I'll be in Gulfport
However, I will have only recently moved there so I don't even know what kind of employment I'll have to beg off of.

I sure would love to participate. Maybe if nothing else I can see everyone off at the station.
