A Question...How many DU'ers are working for the 2006 Mid-Term...
ouster of the GOP from the Senate and House?

While the Presidential Elections cycle always brings things to a fever pitch...the Mid-Terms are infinitely more important in the scheme of how the quadrennial. This is where the agenda will be set for the future.

I am just wondering....in all seriousness, if DU'ers are out there working against the domination of the House and Senate by the GOP. I know I am, every day in the District I live in...:)

1. Hell, I wanna start working for some of the 2005 elections
We have open seats for the governor elections in New Jersey and Virginia. Although they are both currently have dem governors it's going to be a tight race with the backlash of the McGreevey issue in NJ and the fact that Virginia is a fricking red state that currently has a blue governor (Mark Warner).

Plus there are plenty of states having state-level elections - let's get some of those state house/senates back in the blue!

3. I am.
And working to oust the Republican governor in the state of Georgia! Seeing as how he just admitted to some ethics violations, this task has gotten a bit easier.

4. Why bother?
As long as rigged voting machines are in place, no amount of work will elect DEMS to office.

If you need any proof, see Georgia.

5. We've got to push for a paper trail...
It is doable...but people need to be putting the pressure on congress.

I spend a lot of time writing my congress-critters...if everyone did this...we'd nave verifiable voting...:)

It is up to us, to hold them accountable.
