How much longer until our country is Third World and in the ditch?
How many more years do you think our country could survive intact with this present bunch in power? Or are we already beyond that line? Have they already done so much damage that it will be difficult to recover without some longtime hardships by the people? And even then, would they accept any responsibility? And would their supporters even blame them for the mess we will soon be enveloped? Or will it still be the fault of Bill Clinton and the Democrats? How much longer can they keep their facade going?

1. We're already there
It's only a matter of time before our foreign creditors call in their paper, and the housing bubble pops.

2. I don't know about the timeline
but when China calls in its notes, we are finished.

3. where do they think the money will come from next?
our children aren't educated, we the people are growing poorer and poorer while the rich get richer. seems the bottom of their little pyramid is about to collapse.

i guess that puts conquering the world into a little more perspective.

4. Not long, Yes, Yes, No, No, Yes, and not long.
We cannot sustain this country much longer the way we're currently managing ourselves. They've already done so much damage, that there is no longer a painless way to recover. And no, they'll never, ever accept responsibility, and their hard-core supporters will never, ever believe it could have been their fault. They'll blame anybody but themselves, probably democrats. But the facade is certainly starting to crack, at least for people who aren't hopelessly deluded.

5. Look back in time for the real power behind this regime's takeover.
Your very questions have haunted me for many years.

When scotus installed this criminal in the whitehouse, I feared that we no longer had a Constitution.

Are we beyond the point of no return? Maybe/maybe not. IMO, unless we take back corporate control of our government... we will be in for many years of pain.

6. At $500 to $800 billion deficits which require borrowing and .....
...addition to the national debt which is now at $7.8 trillion and the fact that the war in Iraq will drain $150 billion per year, do the numbers. We'll be a third world country when we can no longer be in a position to pay off the debt if the debt holders demand payment. That number is $14 trillion and that figure is less than eight years off based on budget projects through 2012. So hold onto your asses.

7. I'd say that in about 5-10 years we will be "third world"-
the economy is headed down the loo, the dollar keeps falling against the Euro, the Koreans and others will pass us in scientific research, including embryonic stem cell research, and thus medical advances; we will turn into a Christian theocracy but one intolerant of other beliefs, unlike Italy and Israel; our Bill of Rights will become meaningless (or repealed); we will have no manufacturing (even now a big American chemical company is about to be bought by a Chinese conglomerate); our auto makers are in trouble; our aging population will lack adequate medical care and God knows what will happen to social security....

very rosy but it's really what I expect and fear.
