The Bill has been referred to the Health Subcommittees of each of the House Ways and Means Committee, the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. Universal Health Care Action Network has a list of organizations working on state health care initiatives. Find groups in your state and get involved in working to pass local legislation. The California State Senate has just passed a single-payer health insurance bill and citizen action will be needed to help push its passage all the way through.
