Cheneys on Wolf Blitzer, Rumsfeld's in Congress, and Rove's on Scarborough
Edited on Thu Jun-23-05 09:08 PM by oxbow
...and guess what? they're all talking about Iraq! Plus, * is set to give a prime-time speech next week on....you guessed it, Iraq! Seems like they sense the tide turning.

Along with the DSM, we have the 4th straight month of the US army not meeting its recruitment goals, an increasingly embedded insurgency, a battalion of US troops being killed or injured each month there and for the first time, the majority of Americans wanting the troops home from...Iraq.

My question is, what should we do against this WH media blitz? Should we fight back with email campaigns RE: the DSM? Michael Smith has a new article out that changes the focus of the documents to the increased and illegal bombing campaign before the war.

Or perhaps we should focus on domestic issues instead? It's hard to fight the media presence of all the pResident's men, no matter how many emails we send out. Maybe we can attack on high gas prices and their insane energy policy while they're focused on Iraq. Either way, if the last few weeks have shown us ANYTHING, it's that DU can play a very real role in setting the agenda in Washington.

Whatever we do, we should act together, alongside Raw Story, John Conyers and all our fellow patriots to take this country back from Regressives. We certainly have the ability, so let's use it. Any suggestions?

1. We need tokeep hitting them from all sides and get the
attention of the Media by any means necessary.

Conyers got their attention
Durbin got their attention
Dean got their attention

Kennedy told Rumnut to RESIGN!

Kerry told GWB to FIRE Rove

That is what we Must do, keep on hitting them from all sides.

They are bullies and that is the only language they understand.

2. Working overtime to cover their asses!
While they're doing this, they can't promote their vile reconstruction of social security, etc, so there are some victories.

5. They are just running cover for the Chimp. His poll numbers are
lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut. Just a little bait and switch to get the media off the topic of the DSM, Social Security, etc. Shameless wh*res. Worse yet, the sheeple will fall for it - again.

9. Focus on Impeachment!
Frame the issue. The Bush Regime lied to Congress. That is a High Crime. Impeachment is required.

10. If they were not scared, they would not be so visible.
I believe that they would be staying in their holes instead of crawling out if they had any other choice.

The push to deceive the people yet again is on in order to get up the ratings, to salvage our presence in Iraq, to find new recruits for the army, to stop the start of actual discussion of things like DSM on the real MSM.

The fact that Democrats are at this point missing and not loud on TV is still way better than it was. They used to all be missing, now the Republican principals are showing up out of stark need and fear.

I love it. It's a good start. It shows progress is happening

11. You know what all this REALLY reminds me of?
Edited on Thu Jun-23-05 09:55 PM by oxbow
The runup to the Iraq war, when everybody in the WH and the Heritage institute and every other neo-con think tank they could find was on the news shows. Maybe its just a weird sort of balance, but I sense that same strategy of flooding the airwaves with disinformnation.

It scares me, because no-one on the left seems to understand what's happening.
