IOWA: Did Republican operatives tilt the balance to Kerry? |
|
Edited on Sun Jan-25-04 02:22 PM by Nlighten1
I'm sorry I don't have the link but I saw an email discussing the "supposed cross-over" (ala Cynthia McKinney) of Republicans during the Caucus.
Is there any truth to this?
On edit
This isn't a slam against Kerry...I'm a ABB person myself...this issue (if true) needs to be resolved for future Caucuses.

they have done it before...and in Iowa it isn't against the rules for Republicans to cross over to the Dems side to vote...word is that it did happen...instead of snarky comments how about we find the truth to this?

12. Honestly, people don't do that. |
|
I mean, yeah, there are going to be a few GOPers dedicated enough to cross lines. But normal Republicans have better things to do than go infilitrate a Democratic caucus. They could never have turned out in the numbers it would take to give Kerry and Edwards a third of the vote each.

8. If you make a factual assertion about a candidate that is not generally accepted to be true, you must provide a link to a reputable source to back up your claim. Allegedly "innocent" questions which are actually an underhanded effort to spread rumors are not allowed. If you really need to know the answer to your question, try Google.
