I've tried to tie together a number of recent items, but need comments on possible streamlining and closing...
Still peddling lies Americans seem to be finally waking up to the fact that the war in Iraq is a failure that should never have been. That didn't stop George Bush from, in his recent radio address, repeating five times that "we went to war because we were attacked." Unfortunately for him, the facts are biased against him. People are recognizing his Machiavellian attempts to falsely connect Iraq and September 11, and are beginning to reject them. The tragedy, however, is that this realization did not come earlier, and that over 1700 American soldiers have lost their lives in pursuit of lies, that over one hundred thousand innocent Iraqi civlians have died because this administration wanted war.
And now, to obscure the fact that Iraq is a failure, that Social Security privatization is dead on arrival, and that the president's approval ratings are the lowest ever, Karl Rove is in a desperate search for scapegoats to blame for this administration's own failures. His recent remarks are an attempt to distract the public from the true problems this country faces by rallying the Republican base.
But he has many problems, and the people know it. Osama bin Laden is STILL missing, and wasn't in Iraq. Our troops STILL do not have the necessary armor and equipment to protect them. Our ports and nuclear power plants STILL haven't been properly secured.
Clearly, this administration has no understanding of 9/11, except as an attempt to divide this country for greed and profit.
