Riddle me this Batman
OK. Support for our involvement in Iraq is low.
Support for the president is low.
So...
Now, they're sending an unpopular president out to whip up support for an unpopular war. The republicans think this strategy will work. To me, it's insanity.

1. Shouldn't this have been in the form of a question?
Not much of a riddle, if you ask me.

2. They should sent
Brett Favre, Tim Duncan, Derek Jeter and Dale Jr. to drum up support. That would definitely be worth a try.

3. Talking about war is obviously all they have left. It's how they won 04.
Yes, the war in unpopular. However, Bush's entire foreign and domestic policy is built on fear. They won 2004 by scaring people into thinking we had to fight an unpopular war and that that meant people should expect less domestically.

Immediately after winning 2004, Bush turned his attention to his domestic agenda. Rather than war, they started talking about religion and then tried to privatize social security. That got them nowhere.

So they're going to go back to the war issue and hope that they can figure out some way to push through social security destriction the same way they pushed through tax cuts for billionaires -- ie, by distracting people with fear.
