The Senate has proposed an energy bill giving tax cuts to
the energy suppliers.

Of course they have neglected to mention that many of them hold stock in the oil, nucear, utility and energy companies.

Can anyone tell me why these multi trillion dollar corporations should receive tax cuts, your and my tax money, to produce energy after the oil they own runs out?

Can your Senator tell you? And would you ask him if he owns stock in any energy or utility company?

1. Surprisingly, I read that Bush does not support these House giveaways to
the oil and gas companies with oil selling at $60 a barrel; he said they don't need them.

But hey, the Republican and some Democratic congressmen need their campaign contributions, in any case, for the upcoming 2006 midterm elections.

Corruption abounds in our democracy--or what is left of it.
