Expect Bush to lay groundwork to blame others for "losing Iraq"
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 06:25 PM by Inland
I've already posted how the pubbies have started blaming liberals for the inevitable Iraq loss.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=1888210&mesg_id=1888210

I fully expect Bush to start laying the groundwork, subtlely, to claim that any limits or controls on his absolute power will destroy what is otherwise a victory in Iraq. It'll work either way: he either cows congress into giving him another few years carte blanche to use to hide mistakes, torture prisoners, and get money to hallibuton, or he gets someone to blame for ruining his perfect Iraq policy.

I further expect Bush to start getting ready to blame the Iraqis for blowing the opportunity he gave them, so expect a lot of emphasis on how we are merely doing what the gov. of Iraq wants, so if it doesn't work, it's all it's fault.

That's what I'm looking for: the way he will pin the loss on Democrats and Liberals and the French and everyone else in the world.

5. Oh, puh-leeze
It's the old Michael Savage "liberals are personally conspiring with the enemy to bring democracy to it's knees" rhetoric.

That's so old, it was outdated back in the '50's during the cold war.

They need some fresh, original ideas to try to bring us down.

Boooooring.

8. Hell, we already know that it is Clinton's fault...
After all, he was president three years before shrubya decided to go to war.

It certainly isn't shrub's and the neocons' fault...nothing is.
