If you took out all the platitudes and just looked at the plan he presented, it wasn't a bad "blue sky" plan.
BUT!!! It's B*sh that delivered this speech. I can't help but contemplate the utter incompetence this admistration has had in pushing us into Iraq. The "greeted as liberators" just kills me. The soldiers that have to get there families to buy them the body armor. The bills that soldiers at Walter Reed get for their meals. Taking our eye off of Afgahnistan and going to Iraq. There are just too many examples to type in here.
I hope that the people continue to draw the distinction between the war on terror and B*shs' singular repsonsibiltiy on dragging Iraq into the whole mess.
No more soldiers for his "grudge match" I say.

Like Terrorists aren't smart enough to see our pre-occupation with Iraq as an opportunity to . . . . It doesn't take many Terrorists to do big destruction.
We're also supposed to believe that his "Success" in Iraq will also end Terrorism. There are no Terrorists anywhere else planning to get even with us.
The big problem with his whole War on Terrorism: too many countries; too many grassroots terrorist cells operating more or less autonomously; time/the next generation of terrorists.
Don't think about any of that stuff.
On edit : And don't think about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ either!

2. Bush has singlehandedly.. |

.... created terrorists out of thin air by invading their country. We all knew this would happen.
The administration keeps trying to sell the idea that the "insurgents" are foreigners, but there is not a shred of evidence to support that assertion.
The Iraqis want a foreign invader out of their country. They are willing do die to make us leave. Why this is a surprise to anyone is beyond me. I'd have been surprised if it were otherwise.

3. The incompetence of it all is mind-boggling, isn't it? |

It's as if they started to believe all the lies they were spouting. I keep hearing Lewis Black when he says "Dee-loo-zhinl."
