Well I for one do not want to see Hillary Clinton become President

She has a personal platform instead of being for the American People... As I have said in some of my other posts, I would love to see Barbra Boxer and John Conyers to be there.

the Democrats..she has too much baggage. Half the country irrationally hates her and a lot of the other half are ambiguous. Personally I wouldn't like to see her run.
Give me Mario Coumo/Russ Feingold. If Mario could be persuaded to run.

I understand you don't want Hillary. That's your opinion and that's fine. Both Barbara and John aren't going to run, so start thinking again. Who do you really think will be a candidate?

Of course she has a personal platform. Everyone does. No one runs for that office unless they have some personal ambition that's worth the hell of an election. That doesn't mean she isn't for the American people. She's not Reagan or Bush.

I'd rather Gore, but Hillary would be just fine. Squiggy the Wonder Fish would be an improvement over anything the Republicans have to offer.

but she is simply not a viable candidate. I think it would be a devastating, embarrassing defeat. 'Red state' America would not accept her.

Bush was too stupid, Gore (who won the votes if not the SCOTUS ruling) was too stiff, Bush Daddy was too weak, Reagan was too old and warlike, Carter was too redneck, Nixon was too crooked, JFK was too young and too Catholic.

The dream candidates I remember were Bob Dole, Jack Kemp, Gary Hart, Joe Biden, Dick Gephardt.

Hillary is the most viable candidate we have. Don't let half-wit Repubs and bad gossip writers convince you otherwise. She has the name, the charisma, the star power to get attention. The moment she declares, she is the candidate to beat, and all discussions are about her. No Republican has that. If she runs, she's our next president.

As for Red State America, Kerry would have won without it if Ohio had had a fair election. Boxer and Conyers wouldn't win in the south, either. Hillary would have a decent chance of taking Arkansas.

That any Democratic policies proposed won't even see the light of day...during an election with her in the running.

It will be 24/7 Hillary, Hillary, Hillary. The American people will just become another prop!
