The Congress reciting the Pledge of Allegiance sounds like....
a schoolroom of second graders. How silly! Do they have to recite the "pledge" to prove their patriotism? As if the people electing them to Congress is not enough?

I was listening to C-SPAN in the background and it all sounded so childish and silly. No, I'm not saying the Pledge is silly. I'm saying the Congress is fucking silly.

2. Injecting God by government
orders seems sorta un-democratic.

I do not say the pledge. All my years in the service I never heard the pledge recited. It is a phony thing. Meaningless. As children we saluted the flag 'Nazi style.' It was so cool.

5. Are the Repukes still shouting "Under God" at the top of their lungs
while "whispering" (if that) another important piece of the pledge - "with liberty and justice for all . . ."?
