Clark and Kerry aren't the problem. Kornblau and Lehane are.
Both of these campaign operatives have said and done low things.

I don't like either one of them. The difference is that I don't attack Clark for whatever lame-ass tactic Lehane used and I don't blame Clark supporters for whatever tactic Lehane used.

As a Kerry supporter I intend to call the campaign tomorrow and ask them to get rid of or tone down Kornblau.

Beating people up here at a message board for the tactics of others is absurd and self-destructive.

Kerry and Clark have never really done more than elbow each other on occasion. That's what happens, and they don't mean everything to come out the way it does, especially since they are operating on little sleep and the constant glare.

Cut them both some slack.

Cut each other some slack.

2. Yes. And I'm none too thrilled with Kornblau
at this point, either.

4. Kerry is the problem!
This slimeball is well aware of the tactics being used against clark and others. Don't insult those of us who are well aware of his bullshit!

5. And you SWEAR that Clark knows nothing about Lehane's antics?

Sorry, but, most people are reasonable enough to know that the candidates have been so busy that they don't know alot of the groundwork that goes on that has been entrusted to campaign teams.

Beating people up here at a message board for the tactics of others is absurd and self-destructive.

6. That's right!
For over a month Kerry and Gephardt relentlessly attacked Dean. Then Kerry took the high road while letting Gephardt do his murder/suicide.

Now that Kerry's real record is becoming better known, the Kerry people are going bonkers trying to silence his critics.

If the Kerry people are this thin-skinned now, how are they going to carry the torch in the Fall when Rove's PR machine will be far more brutal than whatever you are going to read in DU?

7. I'm pointing out that this is NOT a big deal. Why so anxious to blame?
It just makes it obvious that people are new to politics and don't understand how campaigns work.

Beating people up here at a message board for the tactics of others is absurd and self-destructive.

8. I think we are better off having them.
Aren't the primaries like warmups for the general election? I think things need to stay ethical, truthful, but I don't think there is anything wrong with throwing a few elbows.

11. True...but...
I never trusted that lehane was even a Democrat. I think he instigstes fights to divide Dems, not help them.

I thought so since the 2000 campaign.

and, imo, Kornblau is unnecessarily harsh in his statements. Stephanie Cutter has much more finesse.

9. If they're a problem they should be fired.
Kerry and Clark bare the ultimate responsibility.

10. I agree. I put a call in about Lehane when he was working for Kerry.
I have no problem calling in about Kornblau.

btw...I also called the Dean campaign when they first started using the word, Bushlite. I said they were using the same tactic Nader did in 2000 to divide the Dem party.
