Call your representatives and senators to oppose DR-CAFTA

Today the United States senate is going to take up and probably vote on DR-CAFTA. If you haven't call your senator and told him/her to oppose this, you might want to get on that.

I expect this to pass the senate, it's the house of representatives where it's going to be real close. Much arm-twisting going on there. It looks like Pelosi might have the votes to defeat it, she said recently she had about 190 democrats opposed to DR-CAFTA and about 40+ republicans were going to vote against it, it will only take 218 votes to defeat DR-CAFTA.

No one can predict right now wheather or not DR-CAFTA will pass the house, but I don't want our textile jobs to leave this country or our sugar industry to get flooded out of business. Call you house represenative today.
