DSM confirmation by Tony Blair
Did you see this?

The Prime Minister has confirmed the authenticity of a Downing Street memo in which Sir Richard Dearlove, the former head of MI6, tells Mr Blair that the Bush administration was "fixing" the intelligence and facts about Saddam Hussein's regime to back up a decision that had been taken to invade Iraq as early as July 2002.

Sorry if it's old news...

4. Yeah, even though the media FORGOT to report it while it was happening
many of them concur it's old news.

My reply: If it's old news, could you please point to all your stories that reported this news back then?

2. I haven't heard that Blair authenticated the minutes yet.
BBC did do some other kind of damage control this a.m., sorry I can't remember what it was, because it was more of the same.

3. I hope the freeple see that.
Last I checked, they were still insisting it was made up. Not that they won't have some excuse, of course.

5. Then why is he saying that intelligence wasn't fixed?
He may not dispute the authenticity, but he's been discounting the contents of the memo/minutes the past couple of days, saying that "of course intelligence wasn't fixed" in connection with the Iraq war. Come on, Tony -- are you a poodle or a man?

6. Blair whines, "But we went to the UN." Of course, you did Tony. That was
part of the plan, spelled out plainly in the Downing Street minutes, you cooked up with Dubya and his neocon cohorts to gain some sort of legitimacy in the run up to the Iraq War.

We ain't buying it!

7. Blair got caught. He knows it
What Blair is saying is a non-denial, denial. It's classic.
