Poll question: Who thinks a torture-proponent who, as a judge, misled to kill more people
should be rewarded with a lifetime appointment where he can kill and torture more innocent people?

1. except
he's likely to be the most moderate person Bush could choose. The right wing groups all don't want him on the court. Nicely skewed question though.

2. The GOOD right wing people don't want him on the court
Because they still believe in minimal government and civil liberties! I say, keep him off.

3. they don't want him
because he's not a movement conservative. They don't trust on him to overturn Roe v Wade. They think he'll turn into another Souter.

6. You are making assumptions about his positions.
Even if he is secretly for Roe, then I gather it is OK with you if he requires that all women receiving abortions are tortured during the procedure. Now what if the reason he has not stated his position on Roe is because he will be the justice to overturn it? I guess you'll have to settle for him torturing coathanger victims.

8. I'm not making any assumptions
this is what was reported this weekend. The right wing groups are push * to name anyone but Gonzalez. They don't trust him.

7. You don't want Harry Reid on the Supreme Court?
I guess, because of Reid's right-wing affiliations, like his support for Bush's torture nominees and Halliburton's war appropriations, you would prefer Gonzales to him, too.

5. So killing and torture are moderate. What do bad people do?
If opposing torture and kiling are right wing, then I guess a lot of liberal Democrats are right wing. I certainly wouldn't want to associate myself with any "moderates" who think Gonzales is OK.
