The prosecutor, U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald had responded in court to Miller's refusal to name her source by saying "we can't have 50,000 journalists" each making their own decision about whether to reveal sources.

"We cannot tolerate that," he said. "We are trying to get to the bottom of whether a crime was committed and by whom."

4. I just asked the question.......

regarding the two reporters hiding the identity of a whistleblower versus hiding the identity of someone high up in the administration who was attempting to intimidate Wilson.

Her answer was unsatisfactory because she went to the technicalities of the law regarding outing a CIA operative.

That is not the point. The point is that someone (probably Rove) was involved in a conspiracy to shut down anyone telling the truth about the Bush lies on Iraq in the run-up to the war.
