TheoCons:
Where's Osama bin Laden?
Obviously we aren't single issue voters; if we were, the GD forums would be a much calmer and deadly duller place.
But it seems to me that there is no way the misadministration can defend itself against the issue. First he was our number one concern, now he's someone the pRez "doesn't think about." This is an issue that can be embraced on every point of the political compass, it's almost universal.
I see it as a PR nightmare for the misadministration if it's pushed, and it doesn't have to be done by any political group. In fact, it's better if they don't. Just start talking up the issue among co-workers, neighbors, friends. See what happens. Write LTEs, call the talk shows. Maybe the "press" will catch wind of the latest "news" trend, and start to raise (admittedly stupid and mild) questions.
"They" did this sort of thing to us over a stupid stain on a blue dress--our "stain" is a humongous stain on humanity.
I came up with this after a sleepless night after a "Daily show" rerun, so it may be wacko, but I thought I'd float it.
Edit (6:10 AZ time): I posted this BEFORE I had heard about the London bombings, I want to make that crystal clear.
