The war in Iraq keeps terrorists so distracted they can't attack us here.

MSNBC is reporting that those responsible for the London bombings are from Iraq. So the spin will be that this is why we have to keep going in the war on terror.

So, I'm thinking the answer to that should be, "I thought that by engaging them in Iraq was supposed to keep them busy there so they wouldn't have time for attacks like the one in London. So which is it? Is the war on terror is keeping us safe or isn't it?" (followed by a wide-eyed innocent look, so that they might think it an honest question as opposed to a loaded one.)

It could be that the terrorists struck because the G8 was in town and they wanted to flex some muscle and show that they could hit whenever they wanted.

It could be that they wanted to hit London and see if they could weaken Blair, because he is shaky to begin with.

Boy, that was a Bush moment. Ya ever hear him try to explain sovereignty. It's quite amusing. I could just picture him trying to answer your question in the same way. "Well you see, we are safer, but it's hard work and we can't give out mixed messages, and we have to continue making the world safe."

5. you don't understand. Britain is a bedroom community of Iraq

in global terrorism terms we're still like....downstate from them. Bush is supremely wise to go attack an undefended nation where there are no terrorists and fire all of their military and refuse to lock down their ordnance and then tie the unahppy Iraqi rebels to terrorist organizations.

He totally knows what he's doing. I guarantee there won't be another terror attack in the U.S. while Bush is in office. Because he prayed to God and said please forgive us of all the homos and liberals and athiests. Bless our nation while we fight terror and gays.
