The Brits are off to find Usama
Ironically, this article appeared in the Guardian yesterday about how the UK is pulling more troops from Iraq for duty in Afghanistan. (It was mentioned in another thread but worth repeating)

"Military commanders are making plans for a major cutback in the number of British forces in Iraq as they prepare to take over responsibility for security in Afghanistan which, they say, the US wants to leave as soon as possible. "

I hope the Brits find Usama and find him FAST. Can you imagine the blow it would be for Bushie boy? The Brits will do the job that Bush should have done on Sept. 12, 2001.

1. Bush won't allow that, he'd hide his buddy Osama
before that could happen. The thought however is brilliant.:dilemma:

2. The US wants to leave Afghanistan..
I hadn't heard that before. I guess we need the troops for somether place. Sounds like Scott Ritter was right.

4. Probably because we're getting spanked so badly
Up until this week, we hadn't heard a thing about what's going on there for a LONG TIME, and with the recent press, I think the BFEE wants to keep Afghanistan out of the public eye and withdraw quietly while people are focused on Iraq.

6. Actually, when I saw the message I responded to
I thought of what Cheney said a few weeks ago. He claimed Afghanistan was so successful. I thought what an odd thing to say. Now of course, I see the reason. They were planning on withdrawing to make troops available for you know where.

7. Everything that comes out of cheney's mouth
is odd.

Yeah, we're successful in Afghanistan like the insurgency is in its last throes in Iraq.
