If reporters can't protect sources, then sources won't talk, and we won't know the truth. It's hard enough to get good stories published in this media environment. Let's support someone who stands up for our right to know.

8. You have it all twisted around and upside down

Judith Miller is protecting a criminal who put all of American Citizens at risk when he, out of anger and revenge, outed a CIA agent who was attempting to protect us from WMD.

Judith Miller is not protecting anyone's right to know. She is protecting one who used the freedom of the press against us (all of us). And my guess is that she is also protecting herself. I believe that she has been paid by the administration, not to give Americans the truth, but to reinforce the propoganda that for some reason many are too eager to swallow. Are you?

I suggest you hold off your thanks until we discover how many Americans were out at risk or killed because the treasonous act perpetrated by this administration.

9. Let Me Know When You Can Prove You're Right

That's quite a leap from my post. Believing in a reporter's right to protect sources has nothing to do with swallowing propaganda.

Of course I don't approve of outing Ms. Plame, but I also wouldn't want it left up to the judgment of individuals (who always have an agenda) to decide when it's okay and when it's not okay to protect a source.

You clearly feel strongly about this. I respect your opinion, but I was under the impression that Democrats were tolerant of differing opinions.
